Our Tree Planting

NMWorg works towards planting trees in local schools in Maasai Monduli village as well around the homesteads of Maasai women in the society. The benefits of our trees project is reduction of soil erosion which has become a challenge in the community, it creates environmental awareness for women and young children at the school.

It also leads to land conservation as well return of soil nutrients, increases the size of land for settlement, provides much needed firewood for cooking and reduces the distance women have to walk to collect wood. Once mature the trees become a source of employment where the women can sell fruit and to local people, is a healthy and readily available source of food and natural medicine.
