Shanga Project

Our Shanga Project / Art of beading Network utilises the skills from the Maasai women to make products for sale globally such as table mats, keyholders, coasters and jewellery just to name a few. The profits from the sale of these products enables the women to be more self-sufficient and independent. It also means that the women have the funds to access quality food and health care.
The project provides a space for them to meet two days per week, this increases their confidence and allows them to network and share stories and develop leadership skills.

Working on Community projects together also provides a rare and valuable opportunity for the women to be together, share the ups and downs of life and problem solve together.
